Indeed, no wonder our perception of beauty is distorted: what we're seeing isn't even always real. So let's stop wishing for something we can't have and be happy with what we've got.
It's amazing that make-up was not enough to beautify the model. They had to digitally "enhance" her neck and eyes. It's all so fake! Yet that is the measure of our self-esteem..
Wow, that was incredible. I wonder how that makes the model feel - she knows that she was not naturally "good" enough, in addition to the clueless public, comparing themselves to a fantasy? (BTW, who wants to bet that it was a guy working the Photoshop?...)

When they made her eyes bigger it reminded me of the Uglies books. Haha. Bigger eyes are a sign of beauty! Also symmetrical faces!

I also like this from the dove campaign. It reminds me of this blog every time I see it on line.
For the record, I think she looks beautiful after they finish makeup, and ridiculous after the computer editing. At the end she looks like a bug.
