Remember Allison? She recently submitted an essay for the contest and has been mentioned before on this blog.
Well, the We Are Women book is nearing release. Miri and I submitted photos that are featured in the book (I'm looking unintentionally fierce in a photo from Miri's wedding) and the essays are wonderful. Not only is it a great book, but the proceeds go to the Campaign to End Fistula.
The release of the ebook is set for September 27th (check out details below about the release party at The Chocolate in Orem, Utah), but Allison was awesome enough to let us do a giveaway for you Lovely Readers.
So leave a comment below telling us why you love being a woman. It can be detailed or simple, whatever the answer, it will enter you into the giveaway. You can enter multiple times if you share this post via Facebook, your blog or Twitter and then leave another comment with a link. It's basically all about spreading the word and helping out a good cause!
The giveaway will close on Friday, September 24th. Happy commenting!

I love being a woman because I am given the divine power to create. I can use this gift to breathe life into art, literature, or music. I can create my own environment in my future home. I have the blessing of creating beautiful children. I love the power of creation.
I love being a woman because of the broad range of emotion from nurturing and compassion to passion and fire. Although emotions can seem to be a detriment or crutch, it allows me to feel and experience life from different points of view.
Also, nail polish.
Facebooked it =)
I love being a woman because it allows me to be full of emotion. I love with my whole heart. I cry until I can't cry anymore when I'm sad or heartbroken. When someone I love is hurting, I hurt right along with them. When I'm genuinely happy, I feel like anything is possible, and no one can stop me from smiling!
I love being a woman, because we have been blessed to bring in new life. We hold the ultimate gift of nurture to give those sweet babes.
I like being a woman because I believe that women have a better sense of "self" and spend their thoughts and heartsongs thinking about what more they can do to be truer to that idea, whatever it may be. I like being a woman because the possibilities for individuality, each lovely, are endless, powerful, and perfect. I like being a woman because of the tenderness we are known for throughout time and the beauty of creativity and love we embody. I like being a woman because of the pure image it gives to those who truly know and understand the worth of a great woman and what they can accomplish if they have one on their team. The image that promotes happy families, compassionate service, and empathetic voices.
Never under estimate the power of a woman who knows who she is and what she is capable of accomplishing.
I am with Kimberly and Julie, I LOVE being a woman because of what my body can do. I love carrying a child and giving birth. It is the most amazing experience I have ever had, and the bonding power it has brought between my husband and I is more intimate than any other act. There is somthing sacred about being entrusted with a child. I love it!
I love being a woman because every day I have the opportunity to be soft and feminine, but am also gifted with the opportunities to be strong. I love that with being a woman you have the choice to nurture a career or nurture children and a home, or do a little bit of both.
I also won't complain about being able to wear beautiful skirts and dresses, and high heels when the occasion calls for it.
I love being a woman because I can show and share emotions. I love being able to bear children, feel them growing inside, watching everything I put in my body to help the baby develop healthy. I love being soft and feminine. I love being a woman. :)
