“Bottom line is, even if you see them coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So, what are we, helpless? Puppets? Nah. The big moments are gonna come, you can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that count. That's when you find out who you are.” - Joss Whedon

Okay, it was sneaky when we put a line from Buffy the Musical in the title of a guest post. But now we're just not even trying to hide it, are we?
(Yesterday in class this girl was talking about how she just got hooked on Buffy, so I mentioned that my path to Buffy included Dr. Horrible and Firefly. One of the guys said, "Firefly?" very incredulously, and I said, "Um, same creator for both shows. Don't disrespect Buffy, dude." Yeah. The secret is out. I'm a giant geek.)
That said, I love this quote. We can't always control what happens to us, but we always have a choice about what we do with what happens to us, and (nerd alert! nerd alert!) it's our choices, far more than our abilities, that determine who we truly are.
That is an excellent point, Dumbledore. :)
I knew you'd catch that. ;)
